Simple Keyword Research Tool Glossary

Monthly Search Volume: Higher numbers represent greater search demand, indicating more potential traffic and interest in the keyword.

“No Results for this Keyword” – This shows when the results for the entered keyword are either too low or non-existent. If this is shown, try a different keyword.

Organic Click Rate: Higher rates mean a larger proportion of users click on organic search results for the keyword, indicating its relevance and appeal to searchers.

Intent: Higher numbers suggest stronger user intent, meaning the keyword is more likely to attract users who are ready to take action or engage with the content.

Competition: Lower numbers indicate less competition, making it easier to rank for the keyword.

Suggested Keywords: After performing a search, you’ll find a list of ‘Suggested Keywords’ beneath your results. These are related to your query and can be used to expand your search or as alternative options. Each suggested keyword should be evaluated on its own to determine its relevance and effectiveness for your needs.

*The ratios for ‘Organic Click Rate’, ‘Intent’, and ‘Competition’ vary from keyword to keyword, influenced by factors such as niche and user search behavior. These metrics can range from zero (0) to one hundred (100), and sometimes even extend into the thousands. The crucial aspect is understanding the significance of these scores: a high score in intent and click rate indicates strong relevancy, while a low score may indicate lower relevancy of such keyword. Regarding competition, a score up to 40 is considered less competitive, whereas above 60 is deemed more competitive. These insights empower users to make informed decisions based on the unique characteristics of each keyword.
